Our Mission:

Our mission is to raise awareness for Lubbock citizens who may have been uninformed about the wonderful art happening all around us, while simultaneously giving back to and supporting these artists and ultimately, our city.

The purpose of Lubbock Live Festival for The Arts is to give back to the local arts community. To gather local artists that make our city great in one place to show Lubbock just how much art is present in our community.

Our event is intended to give each visitor the opportunity to connect with artists, musicians, and performers in our area. Ensuring the highest quality of event, we anchor it strongly within the community of Lubbock as well as online. We invite you to join us!

Founder, President, Producer

  • Jeremy was born and raised in Lubbock TX where he graduated from Monterey High School and went on to get his Bachelor's degree in Music Performance (with a concentration in cello performance) at Texas Tech University in 2016. While at Texas Tech University, he joined Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia (a nationwide musical fraternity created to spread knowledge of musical performance and education across America) where he served as the Fraternity Education Officer. Currently, Jeremy is a full-time gigging musician (playing both original music and covers on guitar) within the Lubbock area. In 2019, Jeremy was a finalist in the esteemed Blue Light Live: Singer/Songwriter Competition as well as placed second in both the LHUCA and Park East Battle of the Bands competitions. He teaches supplemental cello lessons at schools within Lubbock Independent School District and teaches private cello lessons to students in Lubbock and surrounding areas. Along with playing music at various local venues, he has performed with orchestras including the Lubbock Symphony Orchestra and the Lubbock Civic Orchestra (as well as other surrounding symphonies). In 2015, Jeremy won the annual Texas Tech Concerto Competition during his Junior year of college, competing against undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral students. In 2017, he was asked to play cello in a local production of the Rock-Ballet, Click (written by local musicians/music producers, Scott and Amy Faris alongside Ballet Lubbock). Jeremy has also danced (as a Party Parent) in the local production of The Nutcracker put on by Ballet Lubbock. He is deeply involved in the Lubbock arts community, playing solo, with his own band, and also with many other musical projects such as Tango Llaneros (a local tango ensemble) and Slow Relics (a local indie rock group). Jeremy is highly committed to arts education within our community and to supporting local art and artists.

Amelia Jamieson

Creative Director

  • Amelia was raised in Colorado Springs and moved to Dallas for high school in 2008. She came to Lubbock to attend Texas Tech University where she graduated in 2018 with her degree in graphic design. She then worked for an advertising agency until 2019, and afterward went on to do freelance work for various small businesses and local musicians for several months. She worked with graffiti artist Joey Martinez as an assistant during this time as well. At the beginning of 2020 she got a full-time job as the graphic designer for The Lubbock Symphony Orchestra and has worked there since. In 2020 she also started working part-time for Lubbock Live as our creative director. For several years she didn’t think Lubbock had much of an arts scene until she started making friends with local musicians and started going to live shows and First Friday Art Trail. She has since been a big supporter of her friends and wants to use her skills to show the rest of Texas that Lubbock has a thriving arts culture that needs to be seen and heard.
